Grupo CRASA y Asociados, initiated its professional consulting services in 1972. The consulting firm, then known as CRASA, began serving several Mexican Government Agencies in the field of cost engineering, feasibility studies and other civil engineering areas. In 1976, with the challenge of meeting more demanding customer needs, ORI was founded. This new company, along with CRASA, expanded its services to include planning, systems engineering and construction management. In 1992, the original scope of CRASA and ORI was expanded to include environment-related disciplines such as environmental auditing, hazardous waste operations and emergency response and environmental impact assessment. A strategic alliance with David Evans and Associates, Inc., a Portland-Oregon based engineering consulting firm specializing in GIS, telecommunications, environmental services and landscape architecture, was established to support the services offered by CRASA and ORI. To better serve clients, improve productivity and quality in their organizations and boost their success have been our main guiding principles. This new business philosophy fostered the opportunity to merge CRASA and ORI into Grupo CRASA y Asociados in 1994. Since 1994, Grupo CRASA has been providing services in management systems consulting and training. As a provider of these services, the main goal of Grupo CRASA is to offer our clients credibility and a commitments to quality by implementing our proprietary Quality Program. Grupo CRASA obtained its ISO 9001 quality system registration in 1996 and became the first Mexican consulting firm in its field to obtain registration under the scope of quality management systems training and consulting. In 1999, we became one of the first Consulting firms to successfully have been “Peer Reviewed” as per the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) procedure. In 2002 Grupo CRASA was only the second consulting firm in the world to achieve the certification for Integrity under ISO 9001:2000 through the procedure developed by FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers). Grupo Crasa was also recognized for winning the prestigious Industry Ethics and Values Award given for Business Excellence in the consulting sector. This award was given by the Mexican Confederation of Industrial Chambers and presented by former President Vicente Fox in 2003.
